The upcoming version of Audio Evolution will contain support for VSTi (virtual instruments). VSTi plug-ins are widely available, both commercially and freeware, and make it possible to use software-based synthesizers and sample players. You can play them real-time using an external MIDI keyboard and record the notes, just like an ordinary MIDI track. Feel free to apply for beta testing!
